This is amazing, it tastes just like McDonald's, but is vegetarian. OK, I grew up eating McDonald’s, KFC, and Taco Bell like many of you. Regardless of their reputation, I sometimes crave the taste and the flavors of these fast food giants. So here it is, a vegetarian breakfast muffin that really satisfies those cravings. Watch out McDonald’s!!

2 patties MorningStar Farms Veggie sausage patties,
1-2 Tablespoons oil
2 slice cheddar cheese
2 Tablespoon butter
2 Thomas english muffins
2 eggs
Mc Veggie Sausage Breakfast Muffin
The Mc Veggie Sausage Breakfast Muffin, tastes just like McDonald’s, but is vegetarian. A vegetarian breakfast muffin that really satisfies. Watch out McDonald’s!!
Preparation
- Begin by heating oil in a 10 in. skillet and fry the sausage patties until browned.
- With a paper towel mop up any excess oil in the skillet.
- Butter the two inside halves of the English muffins and fry until slightly browned. The muffins should be soft and crispy the same time. The outside will be very soft, while the browned inside will be crispy.
- Remove the muffins and place the cheese on the inside of the top half and the sausage patty on the inside of the bottom half. Keep the muffins warm.
- Add more oil to the skillet and fry the eggs. I break the yoke on purpose and fry each egg on both sides keeping it in as small an area as possible. I will usually have to fold the egg in half to put it onto the muffin.
- Serve hot.
Serving Suggestions
You can also make these breakfast muffins before work or a road trip, then wrap them in aluminum foil, and eat them up to an hour later.
